“unique aspect of Puglia’s cuisine is handed down through family traditon; to appreciate it, there is no easier way than to try it from those who have learned its secrets from their mother or grandmother, such as Anna Maria Bassi (Niny), of the Agriturismo Montepaolo, a prior country house of the Counts Acquaviva d’Aragona. Her residence represents a pleasant break for travellers. Surrounded by groves of olives, cherries, almonds and figs of India, the agriturismo offers pleasant hospitality, accompanied by rustic but elegant cuisine prepared by the hostess: friselle, orecchiette and cavatelli are homemade and prepared with a touch of originality.”

“I Viaggi di Repubblica” (Trips of Repubblica), a weekly insert of the Italian daily
La Repubblica, wrote an article about Agriturismo Montepaolo on April 1, 2004 pg.6.
